I found this with a lovely purple blooms. Can someone tell me the name of this one. I have these coming up around my property and I did not plant them.

Looks like a type of wild aster or southern prairie aster.
We have lots of native asters, but mostly white. They look like ugly weeds rising up in the woodland area by my house. But then they bloom with pretty bouquets of tiny white flowers. They really bring the fading woods garden back to life in the fall.
Penny , looks kinda like some kind of butterfly bush , but cant really tell , are the leaves kinda frosty looking , it also looks like phlox or dames rocket , hope someone can tell you for sure . Nancy B.
